About Me

I don’t consider myself a fob. I’m just…a little stuck in the middle la…

I’m a quirky girl from Hong Kong who spends most of her time devouring every single English TV show in existence without compulsively seeking and using English subtitles.   I am always conscious about my accent and prefer smiling and nodding to strangers.

I am currently finishing my degree in media production at Ryerson University in Toronto. Not sure if I am ready to become the future media mogul, but we’ll see how it goes ^6

I am quite artistic, in my own terms.  I like making collages.  I got my artistic quirk from watching Art Attack, Pokemon and Chinese-dubbed Hayao Miyazaki films.

Never favour the term – Asian as it implies that Koreans, Chinese, Japanese and Indians are the same.

Favourite Colour:
Beige

Favourite Food:
My mom’s cooking

Some of my hobbies include:
Sharing my little brother’s secrets to random strangers and watch Harry Potter Musical with green tea ice cream in my lab

Activity I was completely immersed in when little:
Since I was little, I had completely immersed in building my math skills and practicing public speaking, hoping that I can land a role in children’s television.  When I was 8, I even videotaped myself conversing with God and rapping rosary and Our Father.  Yet, I gave up the idea of  submitting the tape to TVB (Hong Kong TV Station)  after knowing that people wouldn’t take me seriously because of my mushroom haircut.
I slowly developed interest in piano after my mom got me the Ultimate Disney Sheet Music Collection and signed me up for the ABRSM piano exams for 8 years consecutively.  I am still playing the piano…just a bit rusty on the scales.

What language do I speak?
My mother tongue is Cantonese. I also learn Mandarin. It wasn’t until I started reading Harry Potter that I kind of pick up a semi-British accent.  Every now and then, my Cantonese accent kicks in unexpectedly.

Grand passion in life:
My grand passion in life is producing my own Television show that tells true stories about real people.

Something other people don’t know about me:
I have created a TV series based on myself who disguises as a guy and starts a boy band with 3 guy friends; and the band becomes a big hit in Asia. The show ends at the point where my character has to decide whether she should reveal her secret. It’s a combination of Orlando and Twelve Night and a hint of Korean drama.
